Low Cost Vaccine Clinic in St. Peters, MO

Spencer Creek Animal Hospital is excited to announce our first Low-Cost Vaccine Clinic!

We understand that the cost of living continues to rise. We want to do our part to help by offering essential veterinary services and vaccines at a reduced price to support our community.

On Saturday November 22nd, our low-cost exam will consist of a brief health assessment to ensure your pet is healthy enough to safely receive vaccines. If any concerns are identified, vaccines may be postponed to avoid potential reactions. This exam includes a basic evaluation of your pet’s vital signs and overall readiness for vaccination but does not include a full, comprehensive physical examination.

At Spencer Creek Animal Hospital, we hold ourselves to high standards of care. Our regular office visits include a comprehensive nose-to-tail exam — checking ears, eyes, teeth, paws, abdomen, musculoskeletal health, body condition, overall health evaluation and more. These detailed assessments are not part of the low-cost exam. If you prefer more in-depth time with one of our veterinarians, we encourage you to schedule a full appointment during our regular business hours.

Please note:

  • Records recommended and required for 3 year rabies vaccine and annual vaccine certificates (DAPP and Lepto)
  • We offer a brief exam for those who do not plan to continue as clients, or a $40 exam (50% off normal) for a full exam to be established as a client with us.
  • Prevention will be priced as normal but we will offer a written script for $5 each for prevention if they do not want to purchase with us.
  • If a pet is overly fractious, stressed, or aggressive – we will not be able to accommodate some or any services. This is left up to DVM/Tech discretion for safety.
  • Appt encouraged – call to book.

Q: When is the Low Cost Vaccine Clinic?

A: Spencer Creek Animal Hospital is offering a Low Cost Vaccine Clinic on Saturday 22nd from 8am to 2pm

Q: Can I request a specific veterinarian?

A: Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee which veterinarian you will be scheduled with.

Q: What services are offered at the Low Cost Vaccine Clinic?

A: Services include:

  • Brief exam (required for all patients)
  • Low-cost vaccines
  • Microchipping
  • Heartworm testing
  • Heartworm prevention
  • Flea & tick prevention

Q: Why does my pet need an exam before receiving vaccines?

A: Every patient must be seen by a veterinarian, through a low-cost exam, to ensure they are healthy enough for vaccines and services. Pets must be:

  • Bright, alert, and responsive
  • Hydrated
  • Eating and drinking normally

If your pet has a medical issue, we will schedule a separate medical appointment during our normal business hours at a discounted rate. Your pet deserves the care they need before receiving vaccines.

Q: What if the veterinarian decides my pet isn’t healthy enough for vaccines?

A: If your pet does not meet the minimum health requirements, the veterinarian may decline vaccines to protect your pet’s health.

Q: What if I want a full exam for my pet?

A: For a comprehensive physical exam to discuss any problems or concerns, please schedule a regular appointment during normal business hours (outside of the Low Cost Vaccine Clinic) at our standard rates.

Q: What information do I need to schedule an appointment?

A: Client information, patient information and the name of your previous veterinarian for us to call and request vaccine records. Previous records allow us to administer the appropriate vaccines and avoid over-vaccination.

Q: What vaccines are required by the state?

A: Rabies Vaccine. Your dog/cat will go home with their new rabies tag and a rabies certificate.
Some vaccines are essential, considered core vaccines and should be given to your pet every year. Others may be recommended based on your pet’s lifestyle and risk factors.

Q: What preventions are offered?

A: Heartworm prevention – Heartgard and ProHeart 12.

Flea/Tick prevention – Nexgard and Nexgard Combo.

You will be referred to shop on our online pharmacy if you wish to select other options. There are lots to choose from!

Q: What patients are excluded from your Low Cost Vaccine Clinic?

A: puppies & kittens. As much as we would love to see them everyday, we will refer you to our normal business hours for their visits. It is so important to us that you are well educated when starting your journey with a new puppy/kitten. We enjoy educating our new parents and want more time with you, to answer all of your questions, further testing, and training tips!

Dogs must be on a leash when entering the clinic. Cats must be in a carrier.
