Melissa

Melissa

Practice Manager

I have always been passionate for animals and their health and knew early on that I wanted to be in this field. I attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale and received my bachelor’s degree in Zoology. During my time shadowing a veterinarian in preparation to apply for veterinary school, I realized that I was much happier in the technician, and now management, role instead. I have spent the last 10 years starting in shelter medicine, to private practice, to corporate medicine. I take great pride in bringing the best management, customer service, client support, and patient care that I can to the hospital. My special interests in veterinary medicine are dentistry, preventative care, and Fear Free handling.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, being outdoors, music, games, and spending time with my friends, family, and fur family. My house is filled with two senior cats named Momma Ivy and Oscar, a shepherd mix named Fritz, and a 4 year old guinea pig named Big Boy Bernard.

Abby

Abby

Veterinary Assistant

Hi! My name is Abby and I am a part time veterinary assistant. I started at Spencer Creek in May of 2024. I am currently a student at Missouri State University studying Animal Science on the pre-veterinary path. I am hoping that this position will allow me to gain experience in the veterinary field. I have a chocolate labradoodle named Maggie May. In my free time I love to be in the outdoors, walking my dog, running, and spending time with friends and family.

Morgan

Morgan

Veterinary Assistant

Hi, my name is Morgan and I started in Veterinary Medicine in 2019 at my first clinic after being a multistore manager for 10 years. While at my first clinic, I quickly realized that this was my passion and what I wanted to do. I took some time off in 2022 after having my daughter, Brooklyn. In 2024, I decided I was ready to get back into the clinic-setting that I missed dearly. I am so happy I was able to get back into veterinary medicine and plan to start Veterinary Technician school in the fall with the goal to become a Registered Veterinary Technician.
Angie

Angie

Customer Service Representative

I joined Spencer Creek Animal Hospital in March 2025 as a CSR. I enjoy getting to know our clients and their pets. From my pet parent experience, I encourage families to have bloodwork done on their pets yearly. This gives the vet the best chance at seeing how your pets health is progressing so your fur family can have the longest life with you, being happy and healthy. My husband and I share our home with 2 sweet sisters we adopted when they were 5 years old, Maui (black cat) and Gracie (gray cat).
